The focus is on the Olympic Games at the 25th Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
They will include many international events and celebrations that will take place throughout the country. The stage opens for various social, cultural, artistic, and sporting events that will attract the world’s attention yearly.
The entire Spanish nation is united and committed to the success of the events in 1992. Therefore, this year is of central historical importance for Spain and celebrates the past and future.
The city of Barcelona makes room for 15,000 athletes and officials from 167 countries worldwide. Therefore, this universal journey should be received in the Middle Eastern city “Barcelona.” Perhaps the most dramatic event will be the arrival of the unified German group of the east and west of the country.
The Barcelona Games will re-establish the eternal Olympic spirit of promoting world peace and harmony and the universal brotherhood of men.
All the best athletes in the world will gather for free and open competitions. Kenya is represented by over 113 competitors at the Olympic Games in Barcelona. They will be held from July 25 to August 9, 1992. As one of the participating countries, Kenya qualified to compete on the tracks and fields in boxing, volleyball, weightlifting, judo, and shooting.
The eligibility to participate in the sports events will be in accordance with the requirements of the international federations and the International Olympic Committee Charter.
In support of the games and to commemorate one of the biggest events in the world, the Kenyan Post and Telecommunications Corporation will issue a series of five-second stamps with values of Kshs. 3 / 8 /10 / 11 / 14
